It is time to order our competitive makeup.  Please come into the studio to know which colour you will need for your child.

Fill out the attached form and return to the studio by Thursday February 16, 2012.

FAMILY DAY

Please note that the studio will be closed on Monday February 20th due to family day!  Enjoy the time with your loved ones.

ATTENDANCE:  Great attendance is so important!  It is very difficult for a student to excel if they miss class.  It also makes it difficult for the group to rehearse when dancers are missing.

DRESS REHEARSAL WEEK FOR OUR COMPETITIVE STUDENTS  MARCH 12-16

EXTRA PROJECT PERFORMANCE WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY MARCH 26TH AT 7PM AT THE MEMORIAL CENTRE  (All solos, duet, trios, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Pointe will perform in this performance)

Dress rehearsal for that performance will be held at the studio

Musical Theatre and Contemporary on Friday March 23rd

Pointe on Sunday March 25th

Mrs Aalbers Monday Competitive Groups will be rescheduled to Sunday March 25th

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: New Year End Dates Due to the Notre Dame grad the competition team will have rehearsal on Monday May 21st. Our recreational groups will have their dress rehearsal on Tuesday May 22nd. The performances will be held on Wednesday May 23 and Thursday May 24, 2012.

Extra Project Performance: the only date that the Memorial Centre can give me for the performance is Monday March 26th. The dress-rehearsal will be held on Saturday March 24th at the studio.

The following classes will be rescheduled to Sunday March 25th.
1:00Junior lyrical
2:00 Ballet Grade 3-4
3:00 Pointe

Please note that the last stretch classes will be held March 19th,2012.
On April 16,30 and May 7th will be extra project run through. Please note you must attend.

Winter and Christmas Holidays December 19- January 8.
There will be open studio time during the holidays for
those who have extra projects. More info to follow.

For those who ordered merchandise for Christmas please note that you can pick it up on Monday
November 28th between the hours of 5-7PM at #14 Dumas Cres.

If you did not attend the Open House please ask the teacher for the forms that must be filled out


Letʼs all aim to have perfect attendance.

Dress Code must be followed.

Monday 4:30-5:15 Ballet : pink bodysuit and pink tights
All other Ballet Classes: black bodysuit and the ballet tights (NOT TAN) Ballet shoes must have elastics.
Jazz: bodysuit and tights (dance short are allowed) NO PANTS OR CAPRIS Tight fitting tank tops allowed. NO T-SHIRTS
Tap: same as above Pant are allowed but they must be hemmed.
Hip Hop: NO STREETSHOES, JEANS OR PAJAMA PANTS. If you are unsure what the dress code is for your class lease talk to the teacher. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DRESS CODE IF SET FOR THE ENTIRE STUDIO NOT JUST FOR ONE SPECIFIC TEACHER AND THE RULES ARE TO BE FOLLOWED BY EVERYONE. If the students are not dressed properly you will get a notice to take home. THANKS

Hair must be in a bun for ballet and tied back neatly for all other classes.

Bring a Friend Week

Please note that all recreational students can bring a friend from Sept. 26th-30th This week will also be Black light week. Please note that the viewing windows will be covered up.

5th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Week (Oct. 3rd-7th)
We ask that you bring an small donation when you attend your class that week. We will once again decorate the studio with our decorated bras. We encourage all our students to bring their bras the week before the event.

We would like all our dancers to wear pink that week. Group pictures will be taken.

JD’s Jackets, Bags and Bootie Shorts THis will be your last chance to order for this season. we do want all our competitors to have a JD’S Jacket to attend Fastival To Order please contact Miss Julie before Sept. 16th.

Please note that the studio will be closed on October 10th due to Thanksgiving!

Extra Projects Schedules will be posted on the back board. Make sure to check it regularly as days and times sometimes change.

Halloween Dress Up week Oct 25-30th,2011 Youn and Old must participate! Make sure to wear something that you can dance in! All classes on October 31st will be rescheduled to Friday Oct.28th & Sunday Oct.30th (Schedules to follow)

GROOVE STREET DANCE WORKSHOP
13 of us will be dancing in Edmonton on November 19th and 20th (registration is at
9AM) When I have more information on the schedule I will forward it to all those who
are registered.
