Kelsey has been involved in the dance industry for over 20 years. Her passion and love for dance began at the age of 5 in her first ballet class in Wainwright, AB. Taking every opportunity available to her Kelsey has worked hard to build a professional dance career out of her small town training. She is a firm believer that with hard work and passion, you can make any dream come true.
Kelsey has studied Fitness & Nutrition and received her diploma in 2012. To quench her thirst for knowledge she pursued a new area of training. Kelsey studied and completed her certification with Acrobatic Arts Module 1 (2012) & Module 2 (2013). She is currently studying and working her way towards the completion of her Jazz certification with the Alberta branch of the CDTA. Continuing education and keeping her training current has always been top priority to Kelsey. She believes to be able to teach effectively, one must also always remain a student. Watch and learn it, perform it, be inspired by it, and then share it.
Having travelled and trained extensively throughout North America, Kelsey has acquired a vast collection of valuable experience and treasured memories. Her favourite places to train include Broadway Dance Centre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, and Steps on Broadway all in New York City, and Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver, BC.
Miss Kelsey takes an energetic approach to teaching; aiming to motivate her students to be the best they can be both technically and artistically. Miss Kelsey is dedicated to her students and helping them to achieve their goals. She takes pride in her students every step of the way, from their hard work in class each week, to winning many accolades and awards both at the regional and national level. Miss Kelsey feels blessed to share her art and choreography with her students, and loves to watch it come to life on the stage. Miss Kelsey has been recognized for her choreography with numerous awards and has been named choreographer of the day at different competitions and festivals.
